Willow room news

Dear Willow room Parents,

Now that we are all settled in the willow room, here are a few things I want to make sure you all are aware of. It is very important that you fully fill out your child's daily sheet. The last time your child ate, slept and was last changed. It helps us figure out the needs of the children. Label all your child's belongings with initials or just the first name. Check your child's cubbie daily for disposables,wraps or soiled/wet clothes. (they will be bagged seperately) At the end of your child's week make sure you take home their blanket.

Possibilities plan: Our theme on Mommies and Daddies has lasted longer than expected. The Willows are enjoying all the Parent possibilities. If you notice the web on Mommies and Daddies( on the bulletin board) there a lot of possibilities. From baby dolls and strollers, telephone play,cooking in the kitchen, cleaning, building with blocks, dress-up and sensory activities like washing the dishes.

Supporting Possibilities: A number of different items are needed for use in this possibilities plan. Please collect and bring some food containers (that do not contain egg or nut products) ie. Oatmeal containers, recyclables, camping items, picnic items, pot holders,measuring cups,measuring spoons, dish cloths and dish towels.

Parents at work pictures: Please provide a picture of you at work, we will use these pictures to talk to the children about what Parents do while children are at school.

Willow room orientation: Please sign-up by Friday if you plan on attending. If no one else signs up we may have to cancel. The sign-up sheet is posted on the Willow room door.
